Our Projects
Batson Groundcare Ltd undertake a wide range of projects right across landscaping, grounds maintenance and tree care sectors. It's great to be able to share these with our clients!
Three New FORST Chippers!
In September we added three new FORST chippers to our fleet. Due to expanding operations and client demand, these chippers make light work of our tree care services.
NEW! Robot Line Marking Machine
This year added our new TURF TANK ONE to our team! it is a state of the art line marking machine. The Turf Tank makes light work of sports line marking across our schools and colleges.
New Gritters & Snow Ploughs
Following the winter of 2021 our teams were in high demand to deal with the cold weather spells. So to make sure we can deal with winter 2022 efficiently, we added two Vale Gritters and two new snow ploughs to our fleet.
Our winter maintenance teams operate across County Durham making business premises, school, hospitals and super stores safe.
Play Ground Installation at Beamish
This summer our Landscaping Team worked alongside Pinkney Construction on the development of a new play park at Beamish Museum.
Bishop Hospital - Community Garden Project
Our Landscaping team recently completed this Landscaping project for Bishop Auckland Hospital. The aim of the project was to create an area for patients, families and local residents to enjoy outdoor spaces when visiting the hospital.
Batson Groundcare Ltd fully appreciate how nature and green spaces are important for health and well-being, so we were extremely pleased to be part of this project.
Next step on this project is to add our recycled benches for seating.
Storm Clean Ups
The end of 2021 and start of 2022 was to say at the least, a bit windy. Our ARB teams undertook a number of mass clean up operations to ensure fallen trees were safely removed and the areas were safe for the local residents.
3G Pitch Maintenance & Marking
The use of 3G sports pitches are more commonly in use with schools and sports clubs. We have added a Terra Clean Machine to our fleet to ensure pitches are maintained to a high standard. Further to this our Turf Tank One line marker specialises in 3G pitch marking with specialist synthetic paint.
FAMILY TREES DAY
We had the absolute pleasure of working with all of the pupils at Blessed John Duckett Primary School, Tow Law planting 219 trees and hedgerow saplings that were provided to us by the Woodland Trust along with canes and spirals as part of our Family Trees Initiative.
This initiative is to give back to our local community whilst engaging children in learning about the importance of trees, by planting new trees and caring for them.
Each sapling was colour coded for identification and tagged with the child’s name so each child is now the proud owner of their own tree.
It was a fantastic day despite the weather and the enthusiastic, well mannered and well behaved children made it all the more special.
